The Richard “Kit” Redman Memorial Football Scholarship was established in 2012 by his family and friends to honor his life and love of football. Kit was the captain of the 1966-1967 undefeated CCHS football team and received a football scholarship to Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a player who has demonstrated leadership, teamwork, determination, and a love for the spirit of the game.
This scholarship may be used towards tuition, books, supplies, or any other school-related expense in relation to the recipients educational needs.
Criteria for this scholarship
This scholarship is available to a graduating Columbia City High School senior who has been/is a member of the CCHS Football team.
The recipient will be chosen annually by the head football coach.
Applicants must be pursuing a bachelors, associates, or vocational degree.
