This award was created by the H.A.N.D.S. Foundation, a group of Whitley County students who are dedicated to championing philanthropy and building community. The recipient is selected by a committee of peers to recognize civic involvement, volunteerism, scholarship and educational aspirations. One scholarship is awarded at each of the three high schools in Whitley CountyThe recipient must be a senior at Churubusco, Columbia City or Whitko High School and must be pursuing a 4-year degree at a college or university. Students cannot be a HANDS Foundation member.
