GABRIELLE “GABBY” JONES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2014 by Kregg and Lanette Jones, the Gabrielle “Gabby” Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the life of a vivacious young woman who left loved ones much too early due to illness.
While in high school, Gabby excelled in softball, volleyball, and basketball. In 2013 she graduated from Churubusco High School in the top ten percent of her class and as a member of the National Honor Society.
She then enrolled at Ivy Tech Community College. Her future was full of promise and success due in part to her great academic drive and intent to pursue a career in the medical field.
An athlete, Gabby was active as a seventh grade volleyball coach at Churubusco Middle School and a youth soccer referee at Whitley County YMCA.
She loved her family, friends, pets and enjoyed outdoor activities including times at the lake, the beach, and camping.
This scholarship goes to a female student graduating from Churubusco High School who has a minimum 8 GPA (out of 12), has participated in high school athletics, and is intent on a two- or four- year degree in the medical field.
