Established in 1968, this award was created in memory and honor of Ernest Earl Heimbach, a graduate of Columbia City Joint High school and economics professor, who was born in Columbia City, Indiana and taught in and around New York City. This award acknowledges the top science and math student at Columbia City High School. It is chosen by the science and math departments.
