It has been over a century long tradition of the Columbia City Fire Department (along with Santa Claus) to hand out a 1 lb. bag of candy and oranges to the children on Christmas Eve at the Court House. This endowment was established to purchase the candy and fruit for the Holiday tradition.
To see children stand in line to get their chance to talk to Santa and get their bag of candy is just one of the events that makes our community a special place.
